Tenant Essity in Greenhouse BXL takes exceptional and sustainable initiative

Essity, an international company active in the sustainable development, production and sale of hygiene and health products and services, chose Greenhouse BXL as one of their new office locations in 2020. Fully in line with the Greenhouse concept and Intervest's strategy, they took several initiatives regarding sustainability. The most noteworthy initiative is undoubtedly the beehives they put on the green roof of the Parking building right next to Greenhouse BXL as a way of contributing to a better biodiversity. This initiative was made possible thanks to Greenhouse’s cooperation to let them use the roof top of the Parking building. Two of Essity’s employees, Vincent Burhain and Eric Godderie, happened to be beekeepers and were more than willing to set up and maintain these hives.

It is clear that sustainability is part of the DNA of Essity, Greenhouse ánd Intervest: creating value together for people, the environment and society. Intervest fully supports this project and is very proud of Essity's bee colony at Greenhouse BXL!
