Corporate governance

Intervest has developed a corporate governance structure that optimally supports its activities, meets the needs of its stakeholders and ensures that it complies with the relevant laws and regulations.

In accordance with Article 3:6 §2 of the Belgian Companies and Associations Code (CAC) and the Royal Decree of 12 May 2019 designating the corporate governance code to be complied with by listed companies, Intervest must comply with the Belgian Corporate Governance Code 2020 (Code 2020), taking into account the particulars associated with the RREC legislation.

On the basis of the CAC, Intervest has opted for a two-tier governance structure consisting of a supervisory board on the one hand and a management board on the other. The supervisory board is accountable to the general meeting. The management board reports to the supervisory board.

Corporate governance is an important instrument for the ongoing improvement of the regulated real estate company’s management and for safeguarding shareholders’ interests.
