Intervest has developed a corporate governance structure that optimally supports its activities, meets the needs of its stakeholders and ensures that it complies with the relevant laws and regulations.
Intervest is a public regulated real estate company under Belgian law, organised in such a way that it is capable of implementing its strategy both at home and abroad. Intervest operates in two segments (offices and logistics real estate) and is operational in two countries (Belgium and the Netherlands).
Intervest has a board of directors accountable to the general meeting. Day-to-day management of the company is handled by an executive committee that reports to the board of directors.
Corporate governance as such is an important instrument for the ongoing improvement of management of the regulated real estate company and for the safeguarding of the shareholders’ interest.
Intervest applies the 2009 Belgian Corporate Governance Code as a reference code and applies the Law of 6 April 2010 amending the Companies Code. Intervest’s board of directors has established corporate governance principles in its Corporate Governance Charter and through a number of guidelines.
